Description: The sounds appearring in this work, including the sound of elevated railroad, vehicles, music, peddlers'hawkings, conversations, machines, manual work and various other daily activities, are all collected from the second-hand electronic and electric machine market on Qiujiang Road in Shanghai. Here, you will witness another side of Shanghai that is distinct from the well-known "high speed", "capitalized" and "shining" side of the metropolis, and maybe it is this side of Shanghai that reflects the true color of the city: Streets lined with stalls selling all kinds of electronic products and snack bars, the symbol of the traditional life of the common people. You will enjoy reasonable prices, high-qualified products as well as a peaceful yet energetic shopping environment. This piece of work is composed of the natural sound of the city on Qiujiang Road. It also uses the resources of production there to make copies of CDs and make them circulate on Qiujiang Road under the market rules and regulations there. If the sound is said to be born from nothingness and finally fade into nothingness, then let its existence be proved by our everyday life in the above circulation.
