Description:
The modern and contemporary history of Shanghai will be presented from a different perspective through abundant pictures, images, survey statistics and literal records as well as the use of investigation method of archaeology. The installation is an artistic attempt for this purpose.
A semi-transparent tent will be set on the site as a working tent. There are tools used for archaeological purpose in the tent, such as gloves, compass, tape measure, recording paper and cameras, etc. Detailed survey of the existing local architecture will also be conducted. Materials such as pictures, images, rubbings and statistics collected will be put on display in the tent so that visitors can come to have a look at anytime. |
