On 12, May, a horrendous earthquake which measured at 8.0 M hit Sichuan Province. Official figures (as of May 26, 12:00a.m.) stated that 65,080 were confirmed dead and 360,058 injured, with 23,150 listed as missing. The earthquake left about 14,382,414 people homeless and the overall number of people affected by the quake reached 45,509,241.
Over 200 pictures are going to be shown at Thumb Plaza. Not only are they first-hand records of the devastating catastrophe, but they will also show the love and care for the quake-affected areas both from China and abroad and actions taken by Shanghai Zendai Investment Development Co. Ltd.
Human beings seem so helpless in the face of devastating natural disasters. But through all the helping hands given by people all over the world we see the warmth and pervasive love lying in humanity. This May would definitely mean something very special to China. We would need to deal with the aftermath of the quake, to endure the potential perils of any further disasters, and to start over from scratch. Laughter and smiles would be deprived of Chinese people, temporarily. Nevertheless, in addition to tears, national solidarity would step in and fill the blank.
We firmly believe that our compatriots will be strong enough to get out of the shadow of the catastrophe, for love would accompany you all the way. LOVE IS FUTURE! |
